GUTHRIE’S ORIGINAL LEMON LUST WITH WILD DEWBERRY COMPOTE

Bring berries, water and lemon juice to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes, stirring to break up fruit pulp. Add sugar to taste. Add cornstarch to thicken a little at a time until desired consistency. Cook for a while to remove cornstarch flavor. Remove from heat and cool.
