PAN PERDU/LOST BREAD/FRENCH TOAST

Combine all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl, and beat with a whish until blended. Cut French bread horizontally in half, then cut into slices approximately 2 inches wide. Deep fry in 350 degree canola, peanut or vegetable oil, until golden brown. Stick a toothpick into the center of one of the slices, and if clean, they're ready. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and serve with andouille sausage, maple or pure can syrup, and fresh fruit.
